First, that depends on the complexity of the issue and how many things are needing to be repaired. Most single-item repairs can be done within a 24-hour span. The more issues there are, the longer it could take. If parts need to be ordered, shipping could take a few days on its own. We're always happy to give you a time and price estimate before beginning repairs.
Always bring your power cord just in case. Unplug any other items from the computer and keep those with you, unless they specifically have something to do with the requested repair. We really don't need your mouse, keyboard, or any other peripheral devices (and honestly we'd rather not have to keep track of them).
It's not only safe but recommended. Windows 11 will run on any PC made since 2018. MacOS 15 will run on Macs made since 2018, except MacBook Air requires 2020 or later.
Using an external hard drive, you can copy and paste all of your files from you old computer to the external hard drive and then copy and paste them from the external hard drive to the new computer. Or you can hire us to do it to make sure you get all of your data and it all goes to the correct places. If you purchase your new computer through us, transferring the data comes as a free service that's included with your computer purchase.
Yes! Since we don't currently have a publicly available office for customers to access, we can come to your location in Durango, or can meet you in an easy to meet place, like a coffee shop, where there's available power and wifi.
That's kind of like asking how much it costs to fix a car. It depends on the year, make, model, parts needed, etc. It's like that for computers too. However, many of our single-item repairs cost less than $150. This of course doesn't include parts or unforseen complications, but we're always 100% transparent about any issues that we didn't see in the beginning so you are fully informed about price and time delay BEFORE you commit to repairs.
